BSOD 0x000000124 Uncorrectable Hardware

Recommended Posts

So I have been getting this at complete random since the day I built my computer. Literaly, at complete random. Playing games, when a video loads off facebook. Walk out of my room, come back in and it's bsod while idling. Literally, at random. I have been looking around and most of what I see is about temp's on hardware. Now I have temp readers and when this happens, I am at decent temperatures. I am not running super hot or anything. I have pushed my stuff to it's limits before with certain games and never had this crash before. The top reads "The system encountered an uncorrectable hardware error." While the code is always 0x000000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa801"this part changes from crash to crash", 0x00000000BF8/FF8000000, 0000000000000124). The 3rd paramater is always either FF8 or BF8 inbetween the 0's. I have used a blue screen viewer to try and gain information on it, and literally it brings up a blank. Just shows me what the BSOD already displayed, doesn't show anything else as far as a cause to an address or something. Any help would be appreciated. Like I said, complete random. I have had times with a week and no crash, and other times where I have 8 in 2 days.

I have had 3 more tonight, and the all show the same exact thing. hal.dll is the driver casuing it itht he address of hal.dll+12903 and a crash address of ntoskrnl.exe+70700. I have googled these to get no answer to my problem. People say they did fresh install, I have done 3 since I got this thing and it didn't fix it.

you could try to look at the error logs and see what it says

I tried to before but I guess i was just brain dead because I couldn't figure it out. Every one that I find it says its coming from the processor core, so what does that mean? My cpu dieing? I mean I understand a core is crashing and it shuts the computer down. But why?

Is your computer overclocked at all? It could be either an overclock you set or an automatic overclock by the motherboard that is causing the issue.

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

How long has it been since the computer was built?

Give us some specs, and also, how up-to-date are your drivers?

PS: I'm new to the forum but have been fixing comptuers both as a hobby, as well as at my job for about 6 years.

No it is not. I do have the ASUS AI suite installed but I have not changed any settings in bios or through the AI Suite.
