wil Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 As the subject states, I'm looking for some advice on my box design. I've punched some things and some stuff into Torres Box Calc, clicked some more things and some stuff in SketchUp, and so far it looks good to me. The sub I have is a SoundQubed HDS315, and what I want to know, are these calculations correct or am I simple in the head? Thanks in advance! Edit: Looks like I am simple in the head, images updated. 2000 Ford Ranger Ext Cab SoundQubed HDS315 Crescendo Symphony S1500.1 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 NSB Group 34/78 SHCA Wires, Big 3 Pioneer DEH-80PRS Crescendo Symphony S1500.1 Pioneer GM-6100F SoundQubed HDS315 (2) Crescendo PWX6.5 (2) Crescendo FT1

Joe X Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Your baffle needs bracing but where did you get the 5 cubic feet? no power, no vehicle? Anyways welcome to SMD.
wil Posted December 7, 2014 Author Report Posted December 7, 2014 A little bit of power, and a small vehicle ;D Crescendo Symphony S1500.1 2000 Ford Ranger XLT Ext Cab. dangaranga Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Something along the lines of a wooden dowel or "all thread'' fastened to the front and rear baffles to provide stiffness like the horizontal dowels in the pic. Also consider moving the sub over towards the port opening in the front baffle to allow better loading. Triticum Agricolam Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 That looks good. Your bracing would be better if it was just to the left and right of the sub opening. It would be more effective and you would only need two braces.
