So would the 18 on 4k be louder than the two 2 12s each on 2k? i still think the 2 12's on 2k per would be louder/safer ...not just cone area but to me 4k on any woofer that is rated at 2k is pushing it. im going to put 3k on my 12 and i think im pushing it. ikik steve runs 4k per 18 but he had a lot of experience in CA. EricR Posted April 2, 2008 Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 same power? the 2 12's the 18 i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? Yeah and I don't know much about FI so I am not even going to consider putting 4k on it.
