commencal
Hi everyone ! I have the intention of buying a single sundown audio 12, but I don't know which amp to choose ... I found the SUNDOWN AUDIO SCV-1500D, the SOUNDQUBED Q1-1200D, or the SUNDOWN AUDIO SAE-1000D . Can you help me please ! Ps : My box will be tuned between 35hz and 33hz, and I listen lot of rap/trap/house song !
Broke_Audio_Addict
I'd get the scv-1500 and buy a dual 4 ohm sub, it will give you room to add another sub later if you want. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. commencal
Ok, but i think put just one sub, i hesitate bettween the D2 or the D4, can you explain me the difference ?
RooTxBeeR
Ok, but i think put just one sub, i hesitate bettween the D2 or the D4, can you explain me the difference ? The difference between D2 and D4 coil configurations allows you to chance the final resistance the amplifier sees from the sub. Determining how much power it is going to attempt to put out. Learn up on some Ohm's Law and you will understand it more. Broke_Audio_Addict
Getting the dual 4 ohm will allow you to wire it to a 2 ohm load at the amp and if you were to add another dual 4 ohm sub you could wire to a 1 ohm load. Even if you only ever keep the one sub I'd still get the scv-1500 and the dual 4 sub because the amp will run more efficiently at the 2 ohm load. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. commencal
ok ! thanks for your replies, So the best amp for this setup is the sundown scv 1500, but the others are good too ?
RooTxBeeR
ok ! thanks for your replies, So the best amp for this setup is the sundown scv 1500, but the others are good too ? The SA series subwoofer is a very UNDERrated subwoofer. Can take more than what it is rated for without problems. That amp puts out 800watts at 2 ohms. I would say for someone new, that would be a good number for it. And yes, all the other amps are good, the SCV is probably the most efficient of the bunch, and if down the line you want to get another subwoofer. You have the power to let them both shine. Broke_Audio_Addict
The scv is also rated at 12 volts. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. RooTxBeeR
The soundqubed is the cheapest in the bunch. And still a good brand.
