brent379 Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 so yesterday i noticed that my battery has been moving around a little bit and started rubbing into the case of my battery in 2 different spots, is the battery not safe now? here is a pic, you will have to look carefully but you can see it.
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 If it didn't rub through the plastic it's fine. Also the make battery hold downs for a reason. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
brent379 Posted January 2, 2015 Author Report Posted January 2, 2015 I didn't think it moved around enough to do that because it is a pretty tight fit! It's not thru the case yet, but it will be coming out this weekend to go on a charger for several days, and if I can recondition it, it will go in the trunk. Will definately figure out some kind of hold down for the new battery tho.
SLYentist Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 i co-sign on the battery hold down. albeit, hold downs are less for side to side movement, and more to protect the battery from flying around in the even of an accident. Cables and wires almost never fail; the terminations do.
brent379 Posted January 2, 2015 Author Report Posted January 2, 2015 i agree 100% on the hold down. and actually, while i was on lunch i went to east penn and got a really good deal on a 9a35 and a 9a31, 184$ out the door! my car comes factory with a group 35 under the hood so ill be throwing my battery tray back in so this accident wont happen again!
