Rodlow1
From what I read a dual alternator setup is best route but I'm a beginner(newbie). I am running about 8k and don't want any problems my factory electrical system. So that's why I'm keeping it separate. Good luck!! P.S. hit up dc power on that bracket. Their customer service is great! 151.0 Sealed http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/196628-2007-escalade-build-my-first-install/

CNF Kevosinn
most people are missing what is actually going on here....Your stock alt is regulated by the trucks computer. The computer tells it when to turn on and off and how much amperage to put out. so what ever alt goes in the stock location will use a 2 pin regulator plug and be controlled by the computer no matter if its a stock alt or a 370. This is on all 05 and newer GM vehicles. Doing a dual bracket will bypass the pcm control on the alt in the dual position and let it charge at maximum potential and voltage (14.9 set point on GM OEM regulators) so yes if you want the most out of you $800 alt buy a dual bracket. Edit: yes the second alt will always have a 4 pin plug *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback.
