greg4510
hey guys friend of mine plans on running a system in his 2009 gmc denali. He plans on running 2 powerbass asa 600.4 amps on 6 selenium 8s and 6 power acoustic nx5 tweets, he has 2 powerbass asa1500.1 amps on 2 powerbass 3xl152. For electrical he already has a 270 hoa and 2 kinetic 2000 batteries 1 up front and 1 for the back the question im trying to ask is 1do I need 2 runs of 1/0 wire for positive or will 1 be enough? second should I run negative run from front battery to rear battery or frame ground? let me add I asked him does he plan on upgrading and he swears he not going any higher then that. I know the power wire he has is cca and ive always heard ofc is much better
Broke_Audio_Addict
What's the total current draw of the system? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. greg4510
not really sure to be honest he hasn't installed yet. the reason we are trying to figure out is if we only do 1 run we can do it through the truck if we do 2 pos and 1 neg it has to be under the truck so we want to start off right with the best option
Miguels
get all the fuse ratings from each amp. that should give you an idea of amperage draw my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
Broke_Audio_Addict
Like Miguel said add up the fuse ratings that will give you your max potential current draw. greg4510
ok each 600.4 only has 2 30 amp fuses the 2 1500.1 require 150 amp inline fuses so that 420 amps
