Joe X Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 i heard you could use the bas spec vas, qts, qms,fo,mms and all that to calculate the the volume of the box Yes there are equations to get "optimal" box specs from t/s but with some subs you will arrive to ridiculous results as the manufacturer designed the sub to work in "getting loud" alignments and for the car audio environment so NO I don't think you can just plug some numbers in and get it right that way. You can use a modeling tool like the one Triticum Agricolam suggested you on the link above to hint you but only that, if your question is related to a current project I would recommend to be specific and post what you are aiming to do.
Skullz Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 T/S parameters will change once you begin playing the sub as it breaks in, so that is another thing you need to consider and many people tend to overlook. Some brands and even models like more port area, and some brands like less port area and that is where experience comes into play. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
