Any insite on above post. I want to get alt but dont wanna waste my money. He said its part pcm psrt something else so I dont hook up the stock harness just run positive from alt to battery and ill throw battery light code.

Singer will send you a relay switch to turn on your ho alternator. factory plug won't be needed, and you will get full output of your singer alternator. Good choice in alternator too!

he said its pcm so needs to be externally regulated in my car and thats the only way to keep voltage stable

I don't think you understood correctly. An alternator that is internally regulated means it is set to run at a voltage on its own internally.(14.5) An alternator that is externally regulated means its controlled by the factory plug ,which will limit performance because of the pcm.(drops to 13. something because of fuel economy)

why not run the stock for the truck and add the second for the audio?

forgive me for my ignorance here, im just learning about alt setups, but what all is involved in doing something like this when using a purchased bracket, mounts, etc? do you need custom made belts for running more then one alt? This is exactly the solution im eventually going to have to go myself.

Mike told me that his alts are internally regulated at 14.8. I thought external I could turn voltage up to 16? He also told me id run a power wire from alt to 12v ignition source that is relayed. What size alt is good fpr 4k rms

Why don't you start your own thread instead of thread jacking someone else?
