Triticum Agricolam
Not trying to pick on you Juan, but the all thread you put along the top and bottom of the box is doing nothing but making your box heavier. It's too close the edge of the panel to do much good. It's the middle of the panels that you want to strengthen. Triticum Agricolam
No problem! The rest of your bracing looks really good and is exactly how you want to do it. Mustang2dakota
Not sure if I my first choice would be firing the subs up in a soft top. any way I put the subs they will be facing some sort of plastic or fabric. My soft top is all fabric(of course) but my rear windows and rear windshield is all plastic also. What would you recomend? 2014 JKU Sound: pioneer xav-65 4 12in pioneer tsw3003d4 2 pioneer gm-d9601 (much more in route) General: 18in worx rims 33in tire stinger src bumpers light bars 6k hids 2in leveling kit 3.25in lift The Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195839-2014-jku-build-4-12s/
Joe X
You see many builds of this type with subs firing directly at the listener or down firing. Also there is little or no cabin gain so there is nothing to lift up your low end.

I thought about trying down firing, do you think I would see any real gains in doing so? 2014 JKU Sound: pioneer xav-65 4 12in pioneer tsw3003d4 2 pioneer gm-d9601 (much more in route) General: 18in worx rims 33in tire stinger src bumpers light bars 6k hids 2in leveling kit 3.25in lift The Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195839-2014-jku-build-4-12s/
Joe X
Haven't seen that done with 4 12s yet, don't know how you did your first box but I would try to use it for testing aimings and such.

doug118
If you are using a sono tube for your aero port, they are actually 11.5in. 12in is the outside diameter. port area may be a bit too small at that point? This is not true. Go to HD or Lowes and you'll see that they stack all of the same size tubes inside of eachother and you'll notice large variances in a single size. A 12" sonotube can range from 11.5-12.5" so bring a tape measurer and find the one that's closest to your exact needs 2001 Tahoe.
