I did take it to a place and he thought it was not a powerful enough amp to push it. Any way to see how many watts coming out of the amp? The amp is plenty powerful. CleanSierra Posted March 10, 2015 Report Share Posted March 10, 2015 My guess is something with the head unit, like the bass is off or something to that effect. You might have a bad RCA in the back of the head unit if it's verified indeed be on and turned up(bass label setting in the head unit). My suggestion is take your ride to a professional that knows what they're doing and what to look for. By the way, the ground has NOTHING to with the amp turning on or not. The Remote turn in is what powers the amp up, you could disconnect the power wire from the amp and as long as the remote wire is still plugged in, the amp will light up and turn on. You've got some magical amps sir.I was tired when i posted. Did I make a mistake with the remote turn on information?My suggestion for him to take his vehicle to a shop was 100% accurate. Easiest way to tell if it's the headunit Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
