Mechman Alternators Offical Demo HEARSE

Recommended Posts

Big thanks to all the MechMan crew members that VOLUNTEERED to come in on a beautiful Saturday day at 7:00 AM just so we can get caught up!! We had plans of going to SBN, but opted to stay and get units built instead. With ordered flooding in, we know that we will all be working some overtime for a while... This will delay the Hearse trailer a little bit, but first things first- Customers need their units! 11030854_1077007438983120_60561418003625

Got the Ground side buss bar finished. (21) 1/0 gauge inputs, (13) 4/0 gauge outputs to run up the tongue of the trailer to the buss bar in the back of the hearse. We will probably only use 7 runs of 4/0 cable though, we just put in extra stud terminals in case we wanted to upgrade later, or if the voltage drop is excessive.

you really dug into that aluminum

The bottom side of it was slotted so that a 10mm bolt head would perfectly fit against the flat. That way you don't have to thread the holes for studs, and you don't have to put a wrench on the bolt to tighten or loosed the connections. Just makes things a little easier if you have to service later, plus it was pretty fast for Josh to machine that way

Painted the whole chassis, Chris fabbed up the frame for the rear door. Shelves are going in now, then it will be time to skin it, and make a ton of buss/fuse connections.
