The amount of owners means nothing I'd be more interested in seeing receipts to show how well it was maintained.

I see one owner cars that are pieces of shit all the time.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Makes sense. I had a quick question tho. So today I went to a lot where (it's pretty much a bunch of private owned cars but are displayed on one big lot) and I saw a G37. But I had a few concerns.

For the push button start, it started but sounded like it struggled. The second time, same thing but getting better. The engine had close to no coolant. Idk about oil. Been sitting in the lot for 30 days. It's at a good price. Idk why people aren't buyig it. You think the engine is bad ? Or it's the low level of coolant / maybe oil. Also had less than 1/4 gas.

I don't know the last time it had been started but it wasn't recently (Anywhere from 5-30 days) .

Do you think it could have been a weak battery? Or something more. Nothing else sounded bad except the fact of the start up struggling. My pops / friend said it could be a weak battery, or it could be as extreme as a new gasket. Any ideas?

If the po was dumb enough to fuck up the coolant and oil level you can imagine what else they did to fuck it up... I wouldn't go near it personally ...

True. Im confused. People say to follow KBB, but if i KBB 2010 G37 Journey excellent condition with 50,000 miles, they coem up as 19grand. EVERY g37 is listed at 22-25grand and have 50,000+ miles. Do I just have to play the waiting game or is KBB shit to follow for certain cars.. Or is it my area..

Kbb just gets you in the ball park.

Since it seems you don't know a lot about working on cars I'd suggest that any car you are considering you take it to a GOOD mechanic and pay them to do a full inspection before you buy it will usually cost you around $100-$200 depending on how deep they dig but it's well worth doing so you don't get any surprises after you buy it.

If any person or lot tells you you can't take the car and have this done then don't waste anymore time there and move on to the next ride.

Usually the big new car lots have the nicest used cars too and they definitely don't mind letting you have it inspected.

Another thing to think about is if your credit is good enough for a $25k used car purchase you could likely afford a brand new car worth more money and 3nd up with the same payment.

With used cars they decide how long they will finance them for and with new cars the payment length is more flexible and you'll get lower interest rates so a $35k new car might work out to be the same payment or less than a $25k used car.
