PurpleSnow Posted March 27, 2015 Report Share Posted March 27, 2015 I looking to get bit more out of my subs the setup I've had for a while was ok but since i really started playing around i saw so many new designs in boxes this is close to what i had in W 35.4 x H 15.75 x D 15.75 ports 8 x 3 it played everything quite good so for my first try i build this box but with the port at the top facing up into the cab W35.5 x H 15.7 x D 19.7 port was 2.7 x 12 x 12 it didn't play so good was quite a bit of distortion tried rotating in diff positions as well I even tried lengthening the port down and in in L shape if im making sense but didn't do much good. I then borrowed a box from a friend and so far it is the best one W 33.5 x H 15.75 x D 17.7 port 3.5 x 17.7 x 11.81 but now my question is there anything i coulda done better with my build. my sub specs are Starsound SSW-S12-3500 D4 Max output: 3500w RMS: 800w FS: 28.1 Re: 2x4ohm Res: 92.7ohm Qms: 5.5 Qes: 0.39 Qts: 0.37 Vas: 56.4L Mms: 207.1 Cms: 0.15 BL: 27.2 SPL: 87.9 Xmax mm / in.: 25 mounting hole: 304-8 - 6.5 depth: 152mm Sealed: 21-45 ltr Vented: 45 ltr 90mm tube by 300mm my amp is a bit small im only running 4ohm at the moment on the 2 subs cant do 1ohm unfortunateley Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
