BannisterEc Posted March 31, 2015 Report Posted March 31, 2015 Hi guys Wondering how I could set my amps Subsonic to 28hz with the termlab or is the another way? Thanks
Shenker Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 I believe you can use a CC-1 to do it, I dont have one but someone who does might be able to fill you in. I dont know how you would do it on a term lab. -If its loud, fast, outrageous, or all of the above, chances are i'll think its awesome. -"No way he's OCD." -said none of the people that know me ever. 04' Suburban "Lucifer" A.K.A #Lucii (Under Construction) 4 10s on 4kW in 6cu net @~28hz /////Alpine Crescendo KnuKoncepts Optima SHCA Build Thread 92' JDM 325i "Stella" ~Going for sale to build a 350+hp E30~ Gutted pipes 96,000 OG KM's (59,000 mi) -System Removed- 1 10 on 1kW 89' Gen 3 Honda Prelude SI AWS "Odis" Bone Stock Possibly going to stance it
SnowDrifter Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Play a 28hz tone at mid volume. Doesn't really matter as long as it's not clipping. All you want to do is get a reading with a DMM Turn your subsonic all the way down and high pass all the way up, bass boost all the way down. Read the output voltage on your amp with you multi meter set to AC volts. Record your measured value, divide it by 1.4142. Write down this new number. Now with same same 28hz tone, same volume, same settings on everything, you want to slowly turn up your SSF until your output voltage matches that calculated number. Example: You measure 35.0vAC at 28hz. You divide it by 1.4142 to get 24.75v. Now you turn up your SSF until you get a reading as close as you can to 24.75v. Now your SSF is set, return other settings to normal and you're set. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Shenker Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 just checked to be sure. CC-1 seems like the most accurate way to do it. Watch this video of Steve using it to see how it works. https://youtu.be/J0m9OJbkV8Q -If its loud, fast, outrageous, or all of the above, chances are i'll think its awesome.
