SMS
What's is the dynamic burst test for on his dyno? Is it to simulate a 3 second burp or more of a max rating Has anyone clamped similiar numbers on a burp?

MrRTJ24
If you watch videos from Big D-Wiz and etc. he describes it in other ways so might want to watch a couple there to hear what he says. Broke_Audio_Addict
It's for what you could expect from your amp while playing music which is dynamic. Everybody has this mission conception that your amp is putting out rated power 100% of the time which it isnt. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Everybody has this misconception that your amp is putting out rated power 100% of the time which it isnt. Fixed for ya But totally agree with this. Love it when people say they are sending all 100W their amp puts out to their tweeters at all times. Try 10% or less of that at most times. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand. Yeah let's say for example you have a speaker with a sensitivity of 90 dB that speaker has an efficiency of 0.62% which means 99.38% of what you're sending it is being dissipated as heat. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. MrRTJ24
One thing it does do which helps see real numbers while playing music is the fact it has intervals of notes instead of doing one flat frequency throughout the test like certified and uncertified do. It's for what you could expect from your amp while playing music which is dynamic.Everybody has this mission conception that your amp is putting out rated power 100% of the time which it isnt. These are both true in some people's understanding which isn't correct.
