Voltage dropping to high 10 - mid 11?

Recommended Posts

Ok so, I have a 2000 S10 blazer, it still has stock alt that is 90-100 amps. I will be doing the big 3 in the next day or two, but I have an average duralast batery under the hood (it's kinda old) and an XS power D4700 in the back. As for an amp I have 1 AQ2200 running at .7 ohms. As for wiring I have all Skyhigh 1/0 OFC. I don't quite understand why my voltage is struggling so bad, will the big 3 help enough to make a difference in my case? Thanks for the input. Also is an XS power d4700 considered a big battery? Thanks :)

I really doubt the big 3 will bring your volts up. It could be your gain is set to high. And your alt isn't putting out enough amps. you are running your amp at .7 ohms you say...remember that.

charging the battery wont help much.. 1 minute playing will drain it again.. get a bigger alternator and replace the front battery with agm
