lloyd851704 Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Hey I am looking to put in some equipment (stereo system)into my ride.I am going to be putting in around 5000 watts of RMS power total NOT INCLUDING regular vehicle power wattage..I was wondering, how many total amps from the alternator do I need to provide enough power.If i need more than one alternator then how do i know how to hook them up.?..thanks dudes

audiofanaticz Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 as stated above, at least a 300 amp alternator, and at least 2 big batteries kinetik hc 2400s, northstars nsb 90s, powermaster d3100s. and with 2 batteries you more then likely will still see dimming.
