Big 3 question?

Iv read in a few different places that i can use any gauge wire above 4 then iv read in a few other places that i cant use anything smaller than 2. So my question is...... is it ok to use 4 gauge wire for my big 3. I was going to put my stock battery back under the hood and put my redtop in the trunk but everyone says i need to use a battery isolator. Btw my amps are a BRX2000.1 & BRX640.4

I'd use 1/0.

Then it won't make a difference.

Either way though I'd still do 1/0 because you will most likely upgrade in the future but you could just add the 1/0 in addition to the 4ga in the future too.

the time and work it takes to do it...I completely agree with Broke...go 1/0.(or even 2/0 hell!)..in the event you decide you want to upgrade, (most of us inevitably do) you'll already have the best electrical path installed. less resistance=less issues down the road.

My system is done im not going any bigger than what i have now its just daily. I can just tell my amps are not getting the power they should be so i figured it would be better than nothing

At that point it would be simpler and better to do one run of 1/0.
