MrSkippyJ
what does wanting to push the amp have to do with setting the gain at 80%? Broke_Audio_Addict
The gain is not a volume knob, it is meant to match the input voltage from your rcas. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Do-LowHrzHurts
The gain is not a volume knob, it is meant to match the input voltage from your rcas. I understand the logic. Its just to see what the amp could do its just burping it to check voltage output at the 75% efficiency range. I need to order a DD-1 to set my gains. should have got one during Christmas when they were all on sale. would even consider a used one really. Current build 300amp alt (1) xs power d4800 up front (1) Optima yellow top 34 out back All 1/0 skyhigh car audio power and ground including big 3/4 (2) Hyphonics 2000.4 front doors 5.25" memphis mclass comps don't recall exact model# future plans to run (2) pair 6-8" mids each front door. rear ski port 6.75" Alpine Type X pro series running passive rear doors factory 5.25" need better speakers. Broke_Audio_Addict
You are missing the point here. If you want to keep that amp don't do it. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Where the gain is set has nothing to do with efficiency either though. Do-LowHrzHurts
lets not get to tech here. Are these amps that bad will I pop this pos with the gain at 80%? lol Current build 300amp alt (1) xs power d4800 up front (1) Optima yellow top 34 out back All 1/0 skyhigh car audio power and ground including big 3/4 (2) Hyphonics 2000.4 front doors 5.25" memphis mclass comps don't recall exact model# future plans to run (2) pair 6-8" mids each front door. rear ski port 6.75" Alpine Type X pro series running passive rear doors factory 5.25" need better speakers. MrSkippyJ
your question makes no sense at all. where you set your gain is completely dependent on the voltage level of the input.
