need help with box. 4 15 kicker solo classic and kx2400.1

I do have polyfill in the box.

However these are specifically made for small sealed boxes. It is also very specific on the 1.25 per sub. Any larger could damage the sub. These are not L7s, these are the solo classic which is a redesign of the original solo baric.

You could do 4th order bandpass with those subs, not as flat as sealed, not as small box but definitely louder.

While Kicker may say you only need 1.25 cu ft of internal volume each with a sealed box, you will get better performance if you give them more, much more. If you can double the internal volume that would be a worthwhile improvement, IMHO. You can also add 1 lb/cu ft of polyfill to help flatten out their response.

This seriously. i have a JL audio 10w1v2 in 3 cubes of air at 27hz and it sounds better than any box JL designed for it.

Those jl are made for sealed or ported. I'm not putting these in a ported box and even at 1.25 each, that makes 5 foot total which I'd a good size box. I dont mind staying within the recommended limits. But I'd welcome recommendations of a better box design. This is my daily driver and I use my cargo area. That was the whole idea of the down firing box.
