And you have 1100 in batteries aH, and 640 aH from a chargin source. 1100+640=1740. Looks like your shy a tad. If your burping, you will nee everything because sine waves pull some current. I can see where your coming from that getting another alt is money more wisely spent but i dont know if the snout of the crank can take that much pull. I guess i could try 3 on it, its already going to look retarded with 2 sticking out of the hood, even taking out the ac compressor it doesnt give much room, the factory alt is the size of an apple and the ac compressor isnt much bigger.

scooter99 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Just remember to cut the floor out on the driver side floor board, because when you put all those alts on that 4 banger, you're going to need to run with it in order to get it to drive anywhere! You're going to go from 200 horse power to about 100 horsepower with all that pull. How are you planning to put the alts outside of the hood? You building a fiberglass hood or something? I dont care if it wont drive itself off the trailer... and yes it will be running when burping, if it wasnt running i wouldnt even bother putting alts on it... it would be pointless.....
