David Stone Posted June 19, 2015 Author Report Posted June 19, 2015 So what I am saying is I am going to swap how the sides fit into the top and recalculate everything else based on that. All dimensions should remain the same and I will brace for the extra weight of the baffles due to the subs facing up.
David Stone Posted June 22, 2015 Author Report Posted June 22, 2015 So I got the box built and I am going to pick up some carpet. Since it is so large I am only going to cover the side towards the front of the truck and the top where the subs are. Which side of the truck would you guys have the port? Driver or passenger side? I was thinking passenger side. I took pics of the whole build and will post them once I am done. I went with a single baffle but I used two 2x2 to hold up the mdf in between the subs and one 2x2 across the box. I should be pretty sturdy. I also gorilla glued clamped every board and then counter sunk and used 1.5 drywall screws around every 3-4 inches. Then I caulked around the entire inside as well.
