Read online that the depth is 2&3/16

Not sure if its right, i will check in a little bit and let you guys know

Assuming you will be running these speakers off headunit power...

rockford fosgate punch 4x6 have only 1-7/8" depth

since you will have the speakers out put some deadener in there!

Do you know what's under there? Nothing to even put deadener on besides the heater box

the 2 sheets in door speaker kit is meant to go around the hole, not in it

^That is a 4x6 for the dash

That is for sure a door but I think it was just an example of deadener placement.

There isn't that much space around the dash speaker though and deadening what is there likely would make no difference at all.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

adding deadener around the speaker opening will reduce vibrations and reduce speaker panel distortion,

it is smart to take care of this while you have your speakers out anyways

the picture is of a door and not a dash but was used to show how the kit is meant to be used.

goodluck!
