I am fairly new to car audio, but I know enough to get around lol. I have $1500 to spend as of right now so I'm looking to upgrade my system. I have been looking to buy two DC level 4 18", but I am not sure of what amp and other things to get. Someone help me out please. Or just give me a good setup in that price range

Electrical is most important after you go over 1000w.

So take about 250-300 of that 1500 for a secondary battery (which will do up to about 2500w before the alt really lags behind)

If you have no wiring, a nice OFC 1/0 wiring kit will set you back 70-100 bucks [now at $1100 left]

2000w amplifier (korean boards are the favorites around here) and will set you back around 400 bucks. [$700 left]

Depending on how you get your box done, whether you build it (the cheapest way) or someone builds it will be a big factor. Cheap subs in a nice box will out do good subs in a cheap box anyday.

If you build your own box, allow 100 for materials, so 600 for subs and odds and ends.

but in reality, what are YOUR goals for you system? music preference? maybe frequency preference?
