How long have you had the block shakers battery? I don't know much about them, I think they're relatively new. load test it if you can, if it's not performing where it should be and draining on your electrical.

I have had it for less than 4 months. I will have autozone load test them. I am gonna read up how to load test the alt and clamp it.

From what i was told window motors pull alot of power. i idle about 14.2 & my voltage will drop to 13's when i go to put my windows up. But i dont have a hi output alternator

Unless your putting your windows up and down all day i wouldn't worry about it to much assuming everything else works properly.

It was a easy way to check my alt instead of having to install my 3300 rms amp. If i am dropping that much voltage with using my window motor then i will see more when i reinstall that amp.

no you wont

the largest pull on your car is running the window motors..........

I drop to 13's if i run all my windows down at the same time..... and i have some bank...

EDIT- your not even into battery... why are you worried ????

Im lost ?

no I have not clamped the alt. I would like to do that but I am unsure on how to do that. I do have a multi meter. Ill read up on how to do it. I am concerned because I never before got a lot of voltage drop from the alt now it seems like I am.

You'll need a clamp meter. I'm not familiar with any regular multimeter that can accept more than 10-20 amps of current.

Too lazy to check if it's already been said, but make sure all of your connections are tight, and recently I saw a couple posts about some wire lugs being a bit too much larger than the alt charging bolt, so if your big three lug on the alt has wiggle room even with a tightened nut, that could be an issue for bad surface contact

Also, loose or poorly located grounds can be a voltage killer. But as said, 13's isn't anything to be worried about, especially when it's just while using all four window motors at the same time. There's going to be some hang time between you asking for the current and the alternator supplying it. The alt only supplies what is needed at that time, and it takes it .35685936273 seconds or however long in order to produce the extra amount needed

i will also check that thank you. I know when i had my AB vfl 175.1 hooked up i was getting into high 12's which kinda suprised me. But thats all at idle.
