Clean off all the deadener, pl8x some 1/2 mdf then 3/4 over that

i love me some pl8x glue

sem panel bond would be preferred but fuck paying 100 just for the gun lol, my roof braces are held on with pl8x now hahaha

How would you attach threaded rod to the roof ? You could weld a nut but you might burn the paint on the other side and I'm sure after awhile that am weld will break off

I wonder if nuts could be used to cinch it into place. Like a shower curtain rod.

Liquid nails in the crossmember as there is a gap between the actual roof and the metal you are actually seeing in the interior. Then Remove the 4 layers of deadener and add 1 layer of Vibraflex Extreme.

thanks for all the great ideas everyone i am going to do strips on the roof but now i am looking into adhesive maybe clear silicone thats used for counter tops or whats the best way to glue the strips on the roof i have seen people glue them on

update i used pl8x works great 3/4 inch mdf the entire roof and to get the old deadener off i used carb cleaner wiped right off

Take off whatever deadener u got and use second skin ..double it up and put some spectrum on top of it ..
