Sackcheese Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 have a brz 2400 and when I start my car my subs pop constantly and will not stop until I unhook the remote wire regardless if my head unit is at 0 or if I have my rca's hooked up or not... I tested my subs impedenc and they both read fine... The thing is if I drive around for a while and hook the remote back up it music plays fine. I'm leaning towards "this cheap ass amps on its last legs" but I'm not sure could someone chime in on this please

Your battery might be suspect or you have a small battery drain that would explain why it stops after driving around and charging up for a while Have you ever had your woofers blown?

ALPINE408 Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Amps are not like cars like a car can run like shit on 3 cylinder but still run if an amp has an issue it will ether pop or just stop working it won't be on its last leg I know what your problem is I have seen it 100 times but if you insist your voltage and connections are "fine" good luck with your system you obviously know more then me Have you ever had your woofers blown?
Miguels Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 I had one of those cheap amps and sometimes they do go slowly. In had one that had to warm up before putting out power and getting louder. First 5 minutes would sound like crap too. It may b my amp it may not . I may have a voltage leak. I may not .... I come here and ask questions to learn not to get spoken to like a jack ass when someone misreads...but whatever it is what it is thanks
