MrGrey13
bro, turn the box arounddddddd. sealed up, i lost .1db, and outlaw i lost 5db with subs facing cabin. our jettas are louder toward trunk. This is the same thing I have heard about the Jetta's as well. I am doing a build right now in my MK6 GLI and it is a single X15 ran off a SCV2K. Sub is firing back and it is aeroported on the driver's side. Box tuned to 35hz and is right at 4.25cuft. I haven't gotten it playing yet but I have been checking this build out to get inspiration. Keep up the good work and maybe try firing back towards the rear. This isn't an SPL build. Shit, I wont even meter this setup... Its just to sound good and for looks. MrGrey13
I love that you carpeted your spare tire well, I may need to do that myself lol Where did you get the carpet? Looks like its automotive grade and should hold up well It is automotive carpet with no backing, I got it from Joann's fabric here. Yeah man but loud is loud, and if its louder facing back then why sell your equipment short by not letting it reach its potential. Just some friendly advice man, that's all. My sub back port to the drivers side setup is very loud and musical. I haven't put it on the meter yet either but its easily in the 145+ range with no tuning yet. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz

MrGrey13
Testing out the latest mod done to my ARC Audio EQ out with the nearest 12V source which happened to be my wife's jeep. Also, aren't the LED's supposed to be blue?... Durango build log
MrGrey13
Getting some work done this holiday weekend! Tore apart my Arc Audio XEQ because blue LED's are dumb. got around to replacing the factory battery with a smaller, yet more powerful battery! it didn't fit the factory location so I had to make it fit! Little tip, if you are cutting all-thread keep a nut on so you can clean the threads easier by taking off the nut. Durango build log
MrGrey13
It makes me squeamish to think I thought this was okay at one point but.... This is how one of my ground cables looked... I needed a short one and this is what I grabbed. I now have some copper lugs properly crimped on all my wires! Durango build log
MrGrey13
Putting the EQ in the car was a pain... Had to take the console, dash, passenger side and half of the trunk apart. One of my 4 channel RCA's broke so I replaced it and ran power wires for the EQ to the back battery. Broken RCA. this was my fault, no denying it. It broke on the backside where the wires connect. Center console apart Did some grinding on expensive things. Some label making. . Plenty of space in case you are wondering! Did not have enough time to mess with it or do more tuning before family came over for dinner but it sounds so much better!
