Keagan-Z06 Posted September 2, 2015 Report Share Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) Hi guys, saw the OM-1 fell in love with it. Ordered the two pack along with DD-1 2 days ago. Now the worst part is waiting for it to reach me here in Belize. Shipping to my country has a ridiculously high cost, so I'm waiting on my old man to a take trip to IL. Should be back in around 2-3 weeks and he will bring it back. In the mean time, trying to figure out where it can be mounted in my 06 Avalanche. I like the location Steve has his in his Tahoe but I'm no fabricator. I'm thinking about the storage pocket below the Cig Lighter or the smaller pocket above it. What size are the SMD gauges? OM-1 Edit: Storage area I'm referring to. Looking at the top one, doesn't seem it would fit, however it does have a slight angle facing the driver. reedal Posted September 3, 2015 Report Share Posted September 3, 2015 Unfortunately for you, the top pocket, you could get one, but the second one will definitely stick over the top edge. The bottom pocket you'll have about a quarter inch on top and bottom between the meter and the edge, which makes it a good location for them. 2003 Tahoe owner. Same dash. Seeing that I am only getting two, I'll probably have to center them at the bottom pocket. I have the VM-1, which is the same size, but I put it in the little pocket above that to the right of the radio for now.
