nosho47
Do you think it is too much power to run my taramp hd8000 amp to two x18's?
Carnines
Probably can take it if wired to 2 ohms and shrink the box size down. Edited September 12, 2015 by Carnines
nosho47
My amp is the 2 ohm model. How smaller of a box would you recommend? 14cu net port 160sqi tuned to 34-35hz
Carnines
Maybe Joe X can chime in but 8-10 cubes would prolly work. Id guess you might get around 3-4k out of that amp after rise and voltage dropping to battery levels unless you have mad alternator amperage. MotorCityFats13
how much power can this amp possibly make with the gains turned all the way down? I know they are not volume knobs but you can limit power..... my BE1700.1D did 1700rms on steve's test but I have not fried my DC lvl 3 12"...... if anything you will be getting cleaner power and a cooler amp from not tapping it out! Carnines
It'd be much easier to pair these up with a 3-4k korean board.
