xAporia Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Anyone know anything about these batteries? Have a T2500-BDCP and was thinking about getting two of these.
gckless Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Don't get them. If you want local go to Sears and get a Diehard Platinum. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand. LT.Smoke Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Nothing wrong with yellow tops. But there are other selections out there that will perform as well if not better for the same price or less Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌
firebirdude Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 They were THE battery to run years ago. Possibly the most recognized "performance" battery of all time. And in my opinion, when something gets that much traction, there's people who love to hate. Hate just to hate. I'm not saying Optima is king ding-a-ling holy grail of batteries by any means. But you sure will find people that damn near want to punch you in the mouth for even mentioning their name.... LT nailed it. It's a quality battery. It's just a little pricey for what it is. You're paying for all that brand equity that's built up. Nametag in other words.
Miguels Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 Nothing wrong with yellow tops. But there are other selections out there that will perform as well if not better for the same price or less 100% of the ones i tried failed.. they cant take the abuse or even a week without turning on the car.. i will never buy yellow top. blue and red top are way better op find a deka dealer and buy the group 31. those are good batteries my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

I never ran mine with the car off but they took the abuse I gave em... But like I said in this day and age there are more affordable options that will outperform them for the money Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌

Come to find out, they moved their plant to Mexico a few years ago. That move coincided with the start of many people having issues. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. I honestly haven't gone big on a system in years and haven't kept up with the brand that close. Maybe I shouldn't have spoke. They were THE battery to run years ago. It's hard to argue with your personal experiences. I ran a yellow top for over 5 years without problems, which included several deep cycles randomly. Then a red top for probably 3 years and sold the car with it.
Miguels Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 mine where from 2004 and still didn't hold charge.. the country where its made has nothing to do with it.. you can have USA made and can be crap.. XS power batteries made in China and out performer many American made batteries red top and blue top are good batteries though.. never had an issue with those my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
