What would be better?

This is kind of a vague question but just wanted to see what you guys had to say.

would it be better to have fewer door speakers that handle more watts or to have more speakers that handle less wattage?

would there be a big difference?

cone area.. if you have 4 speaker at 400 watts or 1 speaker at 400 watts per logic 4 speakers at 400 watts should be louder

More speakers that handle less power would be louder

Depends on goals, louder doesnt always mean more clarity or sounding better. Just more noise being produced. If possible try going up to the next size speaker, instead of a pair of 6.5's try some 8's.
