Broke_Audio_Addict Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 As much port area as you can fit within reason. General consensus is you can't have too much port area but you can have not enough. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
CamEnglish Posted September 16, 2015 Author Report Posted September 16, 2015 so i could make it 3 foot x 2 foot? 2009 Chevy 2500HD 6" Lift 35" Nittos 22"x13" Fuel Kranks Pioneer App Radio 3 Alpine 500x5 Memphis PRX 1.1000 Memphis Mojo5 12" Red Oracle Halos
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 I believe I did say within reason but yes there is no reason you couldn't do that. Your port length would be ridiculous though and would take up more space then you likely have availaible. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
CamEnglish Posted September 16, 2015 Author Report Posted September 16, 2015 SO i should go as big as possible? Is the bigger port the more efficient? 2009 Chevy 2500HD 6" Lift 35" Nittos 22"x13" Fuel Kranks Pioneer App Radio 3 Alpine 500x5 Memphis PRX 1.1000 Memphis Mojo5 12" Red Oracle Halos
ToNasty Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 I'd go with 60" of port with those ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 Using some enclosure desing software is your best bet to figure out what will work for you. There is a minimum but no maximum amount you should use is what I'm getting at.
