Joe.l
So here's my problem I have a 2001 Ford Explorer. I have done a big three using zero gauge wire. I have a 270 alt with stock battery upfront and to stinger spv70 in the back. The subs are wired down to 1 ohm on a saz 3500. I'm smelling coil burn which tells me I'm sending too much power. my gain is a quarter of the way up subsonic is at 11 o'clock on the dial. Everything else is turned all the way down. Everything on the head unit is set to flat except for the sub woofer output which is on 15. Not sure if this should be set to flat as well and then start to readjust.any help is appreciated.thing sounds amazing just stinks to high hell when it gets loud Edited October 7, 2015 by Joe.l
ToNasty
You could be clipping. Even at 1/4 gain Sub on hu should be at 0 Edited October 7, 2015 by ToNasty Quote ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers

magillaru
You could be clipping. Even at 1/4 gain Sub on hu should be at 0 Depends on the HU but definitely some dirty power getting to those coils. Find HU clipping point and reset gain on amp correctly. Joe.l
Maybe "clipless" when settings are flatI do agree with you on that. I starting to think I have just been boosting the output with it up like that.
