And if it came with the two 30A fuses, it's probably not able to handle much more than that anyways. 3vil Posted October 8, 2015 Report Posted October 8, 2015 Another quick test for you: Pull the fuses from the distro, set your DMM to continuity test, place one lead on the amp side of the fuse holder, and the other lead to a good ground. Shouldn't see any continuity, if you do then there's a short. At least, that's been my experience with my setups (dunno if there are amps where the circuit stays open while powered down).
StuntBoy Posted October 8, 2015 Author Report Posted October 8, 2015 Just installed a new block,with a 100 amp fuses ,still having the same issue this fuse take longer to blow out but it gets way hotter. Any other suggestion or is my 3 month old amp about to take a crap

MotorCityFats13 Posted October 8, 2015 Report Posted October 8, 2015 check the whole run of wire.... remove it from the vehicle, inspect it..... hook it up to the amp going around the car if you can.... sounds like its grounding out somewhere...if you cant find a spot where its grounding then you might have a couple strands at the amp touching the ground or the amps case
