greezychef
recently bought 2 DD 2512's running them on a ct1400.1@1ohm in a crew cab truck. absolutely unhappy with the output. especially considering the price. the sound quality is very nice though. thinking about stepping up to 3512's on an m2 or 712's. anyone with experience with DD subs that could advise me? SlamminBeats
try a new box first honestly, or a new amp. those subs are great. What's current box spec?

greezychef
try a new box first honestly, or a new amp. those subs are great. What's current box spec? had thought about going to a tline. we had problems with my 360.3 so its gone back to RF and that could be the problem. i dont remeber the exact measuremnts of the box but it is very large for 2 12's box tuned to 36hz. i work the oil field and im fairly hearing impaired so i like the vibration from the subs. i used to always run a 1500-2000 watt single15 but my buddy talked me into trying 2 12's. paid 350 a piece for these 2512's and Im fairly disappointed in the output. The tone is amazing though, they'll play anything all the wat down to 30hz. i just need more punch. would they handle running them on a m2? Bump4life
what is size of box? also if you are wired to 1 ohm on the ct sounds it may not begetting enough power to them. a m2 would be fine on them. also need to remember that they have a 2.5 inch coil and the motors arent huge. the punch wont be insane especially on that power. Do you honestly think they could handle m2? thats a lot of wattage. the reason I would go with the m2 would be the ability to upgrade the woofers to the 3512's if the 2512's still disappoint. Before I bought these I had gotten to hear them on a 2000 watt amp and they sounded good. but he had a "factory" DD box.
