What would you do?

Ok so as to avoid the whole "VS" thread lets just say I have the opportunity to get 1 of 2 amps, both Made by the same manufacturer and of the same line. they will be driving a 100w rms speaker. One is 150rms but for $100 more I can get the bigger brother that is 250rms. Would the bigger one be just a ton of overkill or would it be OK as long as I use my head and my DD-1?

If you don't need it don't pay the extra. It all depends on you. If you think you're gonna go louder then get it. If not, why waste the 100 just to have headroom

Hmmm. The headroom would be nice if you want to upgrade eventually. Also look at your wiring options. Would you be able to run the higher rms amp at a higher impedance therefore running your amp more efficiently?
