JeepAndBassXJ
Time to run some wire. Going to run 3 power and 1 ground for now, I plan to add 2 more ground runs under the car later on as I add power. Only 2 of the postives will be used for now, the extra is just to have options later on. Sorting things out. Also sealing up the first layer just because. 2nd layer will fit much closer but I like to overkill where I can. Also upgraded the mirrors on the Jeep to the later model style, they are larger and also are positioned better. That way I can see behind me as well as possible. JeepAndBassXJ
Getting ready to install the 2nd layer in the wall shell. Going a little over kill but I want these panels to adhere well. The plan is to use lots of screws and glue. 1) Make a grid to drill pilot holes all the way though the wood. 2) Counter sink to give the wood filler something to grab on to and sink the screw heads. 3) Spread lots of glue on the back side. 4) Install the panel and start screwing from the center outwards in all directions to spread the glue and push out the air pockets. 5) The pilot holes allow to air and excess glue to escape as the sheet gets pressed down, the excess glue is then cleaned up. After 9 hours, a half gallon of glue, and 6lbs of screws, the shell is double layered and super solid. Arms are sore but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Next thing to do is start sanding it all down, then start filling all the holes, then sand, then fill, then sand, then paint or resin, have not deiced yet, I do want to install the port first and go from there.
