shmew22 Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Okay, so I recently moved from my 02 Monte to an 03 F250 SuperDudy Ex Cab. I'm not sure what I'm even going to try and fit in there yet. I'm thinking 8s because I want to try and go under the back seat. So my max space under there (before the center bracket) is 32"x6"x9". That is unless I consider lifting the back seat. I was pondering the Sundown E8, and the DC M3-8, but both will be too deep I believe. I don't particularly want to run Kicker, but they do have a decent looking enough shallow option. I know i'm not going to get super loud with the setup, just looking for something to give me some low end. So, if you have any ideas on how I can cram something under there, let me hear them.
nila1990 Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Send pics of your back seat and possible of your whole interior. Possible give some measurements of under your rear seat? Also are your wanting just a little bass? Are you wanting Spl? are you wanting something loud?
boom50cal Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 pair of 6.5's. sundown has some killer 6.5's. Seen a nice build with Tang Band 6.5's here in an f150 awhile back. 4 of them on like 1,000w or so. On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole.
kingsuv Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 You can raise the seat without much effort. I did 1.5" tube blocks. No one will ever notice. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
shmew22 Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Posted November 17, 2015 So. This is just a quick mockup i did as if i didn't move the seats. These would be for the Sundown 6.5s. Im thinking this with like a 3 or 4 inch port... I'll do some investigating on raising the seats. If i can get an 1.5" extra height pretty easy, ill be going for the Sundown E8s probably. Im thinking down firing. And i just thought, it may be better to downfire and port out the front side maybe?
boom50cal Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 down fire, port out to the b-pillar. Front fire really, if you could manage it. Understand that people may sit in the backseat though. On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole.
shmew22 Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Posted November 17, 2015 well, my plan was to front fire and port at the b pillar like Rusty did in his truck. i wont be able to do that though unless i up the seats around 3 or 3.5". whoever would ride in the back would have to be pretty short at that point. I mean it isn't often i have more than myself and 1 other person in there anyway.
bman8891 Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Just did this in my 07' f250 extended cab. All it needs is some padding and carpet and its fully functional I had 2 guys riding back there for 5 hours to a competition and no complaints. Those are 12's but I would recommend 10's
