Sundown Survives Again

I had to take my amps down to 0.1875Ω to put them into protect. That was a pair strapped @ 0.375Ω. I ran a single 1500 @ 0.375Ω on my 2 bl 18s for a week straight without any issues or it ever getting hot. It did get warm but never hot. That 0.375Ω turns into like 0.65Ω after rise. Definately get yourself some better quality fuses. I'm not having any problems like you are.

are they quads?

They're dual 2ohm subs which are technically dual 1.5s. All four coils wired parallel for a 0.375 nominal load. Actual impedance is around 0.6 after rise.

Nope, because if he gave me the thumbs up, that would mean he would have to give all his customers the thumbs up, and thats not worth the problems. Anyways like stated earlier, with impedance rise and everything else taking into account, I am at about .6 realistically.
