Or would I be better off on Rockford fosgate

Are you looking to spend the price of the Pioneer (~$125) or are you looking for 1000 watts?

Like I said above, for the price the Pioneer is as good as any, and better than most. You aren't going to get 1000 reliable watts for that money from anyone unless you find a used something that you trust.

Static drops are my bag.

if youre looking for 1kwrms to each sub at a combined 1 ohm, look into the american bass ph4000md. i have one pushing two xfl1244s and its slamming them. theyve been tested and do rated.

HDC310's are only available in D2 coils. The 8601 is rated at 500w at 2ohm. For 50 bucks more each, run two 9601's- one per sub at 1ohm. Those subs can handle much more than that. With two 9601's at 1ohm you're north of 1400 watts clean for less than $500.

I neglected to mention in my earlier post that I had a L5 12 in a ported box on my 8601 and it slammed.

Ha! Just bought a HDC310 today, going to pair it with a Twisted Sounds 1.8k... Those subs call for 1500w and they can take at least that... If you are getting 2, you need something that can push 3k+ @ .5OHM or 2OHM. That Pioneer can't do .5OHM and it's not going to push those subs @ 2OHM.

If you all ready bought the subs, you will want to look into a Sound Magus VS3500.

I believe they are on sale at the moment. I was quoted $408 last time I spoke with them.

Otherwise, i'd rethink your choices. Like a pair of HDS210's D4's would be great on 1K @ 1OHM. Or a single HDS310 would sound good on 1K.
