jessdabest77 Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Just wondering if anyone has used the Bosh Platinum, the Exide Edge,AC Delco,or the yellow or red top Optima batteries? I am in the search for some and came across these on Amazon for under 200 which is what my budget allow's. Any thought's or comment's are very welcomed,thank's guys.
mcfalcon Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 In my wife's car we have the red top optima. There's only a kicker 750.1 and an mtx 400.4. So we're not stressing electrical to bad but we have never had any problems going on about 5 years. Still learning but have started gathering.

Only kept getting them because I used to have a hookup. I use Interstate now for main car batteries. I have a Stinger in my Honda, but wouldn't have bought one at retail price. Static drops are my bag.
RainStryke Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I had an Optima redtop. It lasted me about 8 months before it was complete crap. After quite a few reviews I want my next battery to be a Northstar, but it looks like I'm going to settle for a XS Power battery since Northstar doesn't sell online and I don't have a authorized dealer near me and XS Power is a very close second in performance. I had an interstate battery that was supposed to be a 5 year battery, but it's gave out after 1.5 years and the company I bought it from had quit carrying them before I could get another... So I ended up getting a Duralast gold battery. It seems okay for now, but when it gives out... I'll be going for a AGM battery.

300824 Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 ive had a yellow top for bout 3 or 4 yeras now.. just paired it up with a duracell agm up front. sams clubs has duracells pretty cheap if your a member!!!
