Hi guys....new to the forum. Always been a basshead just never really invested in a good sounding system, just some small stuff to thump inside the cab.

Recently i had a custom box made for my 2004 gmc sierra 2500hd extended cab. This will go under the rear bench seat and it is made for sundown sa8s v3...giving them 1.25cu. Ft. Per sub. This box is ported and tuned at 35hz.

I was going to power them with a db drive a6 okur 1600.1 but some of my friends say the a6 series sucks from db drive. I was planning on wiring them down to 1 ohm to give each sub 800 watts. Im told the db drive a6 sucks and go with the a7 2000. I have an execution audio 1500.1 as well. What do you guys think? Anyone ever use the a6 series or had them tested? I am willing to send it to steve to have him dyno run it to see if it puts out the rated power. What do you all think? Any feedback is appreciated!

In my opinion I would completely disregard any DB drive options. I've never seen or heard a reliable or clean product from them. especially at this price point. If you already have the EA 1500.1 I'd say use that and keep it gained down. Dont bother spending/wasting money on a different, cheaper, weaker amp.

I was very unhappy with my a6 1600.1 to say the least. Cheap, dirty power.

I ran it on a l7 12 with a d3400 under the hood and a d3400 in the back and big 3.

Almost zero output without clipping it to hell and back
