Jacob Toivonen Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 I ordered a sundown x 18 v2, and we made the box perfectly to fit my friends trunk, and then it didnt. So ive come up with a plan to save room, make a sealed box. Ported, it needs 7 cu ft, so i figure 5 cu sealed, maybe 5.5 at max, should be good. I want to know if i should make it a different size if it would be better for the subwoofer in any way. Sundown doesnt have sealed specs for the x 18. Thanks for your help guys, and when i find out how to add pictures on this, ill post the results
Joe X Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 At 5- 5.5 net the18v2 ported should still be acceptable and louder than sealed.
MotorCityFats13 Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 sometimes when they do not list sealed that means that they dont recommend it.... I would give sundown a call about this one... but an undersized ported box will still be better than sealed even more if sundown says not to do it
