Subwoofer Stokes Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 I am trying to see how a sub reacts in a box say 6 cubes compared to a box thats 8 cubes say for 1 18" sub, and which box would be more peaky. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Joe X Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Here's the stock Q18 in: 6 cubes @ 32Hz in yellow 8 cubes @ 32Hz in violet The 8 cubes violet plot can barely be seen around 32Hz gaining over the 6 net yellow plot, maybe 2dB louder at 32Hz on rated power so not much gain and quite a bit larger box.
