Hugh G. Rection
wall it i need to i want to put a fourth order band pass in and maybe a few more subs but i need to seal off the trunk its all open right now why do you want a bandpass? its not exactly a "magically loud" enclosure........ if you dont even know your capabilities then im sure you probably dont have the knowledge to properly design and construct a 4th order. MADVIBES
You never know, I am not going to be negative like the rest of the crowd on here, I would say you never know, sometimes you build a system and its magical. I am sure we have all heard a system that was super loud with entry level equipment or a simple system that exceeded rational. My friend in high school could hit a 150 in his 1985 supra hatch back with two 12" punch classics and a punch 40 dsm in a ported enlosure, first time I saw a car with windshield flex that was 1994, the 150 was on an audio control meter. Needless to say his system got stolen about a month after installing it, He got insurance money and bought the same 12" subs and he upgraded to a punch 60, he rebuilt his box but couldnt remember how long he made his ports, when he reinstalled the system sounded nothing like the one before, like not even close. That first system was magic, Magic happens but its very hard, but trust me,,, when it does you will know it. fecupe2001
150s on a trunk isn`t that difficult as long as you don`t expect to do it on a daily musical box, if you want a 150 so badly build a box for numbers and one for music and that`s it I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Life is an Enigma
i dont know many who do 150 out of a trunk. good luck though. I did 150 bd back in 1999 out of my trunk with two Fosgate Power DVC 15 with to Fosgate punch 800a2 @ 1 ohm. Did a 147.9 with this box And the 150db with this bandpass I don't have any pictures with the fosgate Power DVC's 15's . They were lost in the fire do to a fuel leak on the freeway it took the fire department 45 minutes to get to my car by then it was a total loss. I blew a woofer in the last contest but I did a 144.9 with one woofer not bad. If it's not hart stopping it not real POWER
