bmxnitro Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 so im about to buy a sundown e10v2 4ohm, and i need help with a box design that has a round port. im gonna use birch for the wood. i would like it to be in the 30hz any help anyone?

Round ports can be tough for boxes of this size. They often have to be 30" or more in length to get your tuning where you want, this usually means you need to put a bend in the port or have a portion of it be external. Often times a slot port becomes more practical. i have a 1500watt amp but im gonna have the gain down alot so i dont abuse the sub and the max dimensions are around 32 wide 12 high and like 15-20 deep

Joe X Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 So here is a suggestion, port pipe would need an elbow to turn inside, power: to sub rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 4":NOTE: If building outside you need to build a cardboard dummy box to test fit in it's way inside.

Joe X Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 If you buy PVC pipe to do this just get an elbow for it and glue together, you need bracing for the port which is not shown, if you attempt this let me know and I'll get you a more detailed figure.
