RyanH Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 Hey. I have been looking all over the internet for blue prints on a good dual 10 inhc subwoofer enclosure. I find one and it was for a whole different brand of sub. I built the box too and it doesn't even work. Can anyone on this forum pls help me design and really good box that I can build. I have area for 33.5 length , 18inch depth, and 12 height. Pls help!

We can assume it is solid at the joints and doesn't leak or anything? If the it is ported you can start by blocking off the port to test. Sound better? Port is wrong. No change? MotorCityFats13 Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 I ran a pair of the 12" kicker comps for 4 years..... in the owners manual there will be 2 box concepts for each speaker.... one called compact and one called something like sq.... its the bigger one you are looking for.... I built the one to spec for the pair of 12's and this box did awesome.... look at the manual and build a box that follows the larger of the designs and you will be golden... it even tells you the demensions of a square port.... do it as a non shared chamber box with 2 ports!

The design was actually of the internet and from this website. It was a dual box for two sundown sa-10's. Whats happening is that no air is coming out of the port. The air just moves from box to box because the port is shared by both sides if the enclosure. Also yes I made sure everything is sealed and glued properly.

I also would say that yes blocking of the port makes it sound better. However there is no air coming out if the port to begin with. How should I modify the box. I am also not sure if it is the correct size.

I am also not sure if it is the correct size. No air out of the port but the subs are moving? Sounds like they are out of phase like one is wired backwards. One pushing while the other is pulling. Like trying to walk up the escalator that is going down.
