Need some Solid advice here. Crossfire 8k or Crescendo 5500s

Hey yall what's up.

Need insight on what route to go.. Long post but please read and answer. Much appreciated.

I currently have a Crossfire 8k and have a chance to trade it for 2 Crescendo 5500s.

I will be getting a 3rd Nendo 5500 when finances allow or if I stick with the Crossfire 8k eventually would get a second.

I have 6 x v2 15s that are D2.

So wiring options for 2 amps are .33 or 1.33. I've heard the Crossfire 8ks don't like anything less than .5

Electrical is 2 Mechman 270 alts, 4 runs of 1/0 to 2 northstar sms400s. Currently have 1 deka g31 up front considering getting a second one or 2 d3100s for under the hood.

Would be wired at .5 on the 3 5500s.

.67 if I stuck with the 8k, would have to wire at 1.33 whenever I get a second 8k as .33 is too low for them to my knowledge. They protect alot under .5 I've heard.

Talked with a few people on the team and most are saying go with the Nendos, but a few others are saying the 8k will clamp better then the 2 5500s?

Personally I think the Crossfire are a hands down choice. Have you seen the numbers on the higher voltages? That's always an option. The Crossfire are stable to .5 right? Plus customer service. If it were me I would go with the crossfire. I haven't heard of protect issues on them.

It is the 8k version not the 8x so it isn't stable past 15.8 or so. I run 12v and don't plan on switching to 16v anytime soon. They both are great amps but just not sure which one is going to be best in my case.

Oh makes a big difference. I misunderstood. Crescendo is not bad. It is a budget amp but it's probably around the top of the list on budget amps. The drawback of crescendo is customer service. I hear its pretty much non existent. So that is something to take into account.

Yeah. Definitely is a big difference since not running 16v. I haven't had a problem with Nendo customer service I've talked with the owner before and always have gotten replies quickly from them. Got a few teammates on Team Nendo to so they could always get ahold of Navid if need be. I really like the 8k but need whatever is going to give me the most power on 12v and not protect on burps. Could also sell the nendo 5500s if they didn't work out and buy a scv 7500 with the money from them

why not keep the crossfire save for the scv7500 if you want it then sell the crossfire seems like less of a hassle then your other options...

True true. All my audio money is wrapped up for the most part right now so trying to make the most out of what I have. Resell value on 2 5500s is more then the 8k.

Would have more money for audio but buying a house and new daily driver too:/

oh i understand.. i have a mortgage that has my money tied up and looking for a daily / trip vehicle... need money to buy my dc 10k to run at 2 ohms lol ... so other then box materials and another battery i doubt i will be buying anything anytime soon....

I can't stand 5500s..... unless you go high voltage.
